This project involved upgrading a compact 6RU communications cabinet in a fully integrated smart home, improving performance, cooling, and centralised control.

• Active rack cooling fan system

The addition of forced ventilation reduced cabinet temperatures by approximately 15°C, dramatically improving system stability and long-term hardware reliability.

• UniFi Dream Router (UDR) gateway

• 3 x UniFi Access Points for full-home coverage

• 8 x CCTV cameras + NVR

• HDMI-to-RF modulator distributing camera feeds to TVs

• Structured patching and clean cable management throughout

The result is a tightly integrated smart home backbone — networking, security, and automation all professionally installed, cooled correctly, and built for future expansion.
