This project transformed a standard pedestrian gate into a fully integrated smart entry system.

We cut and fitted an electric strike into the gate frame and connected it to a UniFi Hub Mini for secure low-voltage control. The system is powered by a 16-Port UniFi Pro Max PoE switch, with a Cloud Key Gen2 Plus running UniFi Protect.

At the front door, a UniFi G6 Doorbell provides high-resolution video, Face unlock, NFC access, remote unlocking, and full Home Assistant integration. Inside the home, a UniFi Intercom Viewer delivers live video and two-way communication.

The result is a clean, professional installation combining physical security with smart control.
