Why use a DC-DC Converter?
The Starlink Mini operates on 12-48VDC, but powering it directly from 12VDC can cause frequent reboots due to voltage drops across cables or from other loads on the battery system. While lithium batteries are more stable due to their higher floating voltage, they can still face challenges under heavy demand.
